Willie Geist interviewed Robin Hood CEO Wes Moore “one of the great young leaders in this country” about his new op-ed in The Washington Post and his perspective on the state of our country and the path ahead.

Geist asked, “What good comes out of this American moment?”

Moore responded, “People have to understand that human progress – as Dr. King said – doesn’t roll in on the wheels of inevitability. We have to fight for it. The thing that gives me hope is every day we spend our days inside of communities led by people waking up and fighting for people who need and deserve our support… We have to very quickly make sure we’re doing the work that has to get done to create opportunity, to create jobs, to create momentum. That will quickly get us not only to a moral high ground, but also a real, concrete high ground inside of this country that people are yearning for.”
