77 MINUTES THAT CHANGED THE WORLD
On September 11, 2001, our world changed. Created in the days following the attacks, the Robin Hood Relief Fund’s mission was to assist the families of those who were killed on 9/11, first responders, and low-income New Yorkers who were directly impacted. The Relief Fund allocated more than $65 million to support organizations that offered emergency care and assistance, mental health and health services, job training, and employment services, and general assistance to those suffering because of that painful day. In December 2001, before there was a database of victims, Robin Hood tracked down every victim’s family and sent each a $5,000 gift for the holidays, without any questions or applications.
RELIEF FUND RECIPIENTS
Robin Hood collected over $65 million, which we distributed to organizations providing emergency assistance and support, job training and mental health services for survivors and the families of 9/11 victims. The Attorney General of New York called the Robin Hood Relief Fund the most effective and transparent of all the 9/11 assistance funds.
